Why Did I Join Toastmasters

I joined Toastmasters International in 2016 at the encouragement of a friend who believed it would help me strengthen my speaking and leadership abilities, and over the past ten years, that advice has proven invaluable. Through regular meetings, structured speech projects, and constructive feedback, Toastmasters creates a supportive environment where members can steadily build confidence and refine their communication skills. Opportunities to take on meeting roles—such as leading discussions, organizing agendas, and mentoring others—also foster practical leadership experience. The program’s step-by-step learning paths encourage continuous growth, allowing me to develop not only as a speaker but also as a more effective listener and leader. As a result, I’ve gained skills and confidence that have carried over into both my professional and personal life.
